Welcome

Recognizing the impact of globalization, the rationalization and modernization of the Metal and Engineering sector has become a pressing concern. Toward the holding of several ad hoc committee meetings, industry leaders decided to organize themselves and form Ethiopian Association of Basic Metal and Engineering Industries (EABMEI) . Finally, it was duly registered with the Ministry of Trade and Inustry on September 11,2007.

Immediately, the EABMEI has successfully gained affiliation with the Ministry of trade and industry. Its affiliation is one of the sector's gateway to global opportunities. EABEMI has been established with the objectives of working for the technological advancement, rationalization, and market promotion of the local Metal and Engineering Industries.
